Digital dashboards in the 2000s

There were more digital dashboards in the 2000s, especially for the display of the speed. There are some dashboards of the early 2000s that displayed more than that, of which this is a selection.

Of course, thanks go out to all contributors!

Citroen C3 Picasso (2008-)

Note that the speed and rev counter were completely mirrored (not just a repositioning of the screen) depending on the side of the steering wheel.

Citroen C4 (2004-2010)

The Citroen C4 was unique in that it removed all analog clusters, but has not replaced it with a TFT screen. The Picasso version of the C4 received a different style, with a larger central dashboard.

Citroen Xsara Picasso (2004-2010)

The dashboard digitally displayed simple information and board computer details.

Honda Civic (2005-2011)

The style of dashboard was a common occurrence in many cars of the 2000s: a digital speedo, and a central digital information screen. The dashboard in Europe contained the information screen, while the dashboard for the USA version was completely different.

Honda Insight (1999-2006)

The first hybrid of Honda came with a fully digital dashboard, which followed the style of the early 90s by not using any screens, but LEDs.

Honda S2000 (1999-2003, 2004-2009, 2008-2009)

While two generations of the Honda S2000 were produced, with two different digital dashboards, the USA Club Racer (2008-2009) received a slightly different digital dashboard. The dashboard style was that of the 1990s, without too many screens but with LEDs.

One of the most popular modifications requested by fans is the change of the dials to different colours. A full range is possible, as shown in the album of a modification company here. In relation to installation, details on the first generation (1999-2003) cluster pinout can be found here, while the second generation (2004-2009) is described here.

Suzuki Aerio (2002-2004)

This car was maybe best known as the Suzuki Liana. Its custer looked similar to other dashboards developed in the 1990s.

Toyota Vitz (1998-2005, 2005-2010)

The Toyota Vitz is the official name for the Toyota Yaris hatchback version, also known as the Toyota Sol. A small, compact digital screen showed the speed, rev counter, odometer and fuel level all digitally. A few different styles were the result of several redesigns.

TVR Tuscan Speed Six (1999-2006)

While the speed is analogue, the dashboard had a centre display that could display the revolutions per minute and many other details.
